We conclude our coverage of the Karen Read case. What happened that night? And what happens next?

Couldn’t wait to get on here to say what I’ve not read anywhere else. Let me start by saying I’m as liberal as could be, yet I still find a logical kindness in how Brett speaks about even those he believes are guilty. I can listen to Brett for hours, and maybe still not agree, but can see how he came to his conclusion, and it will seem fair. But for the love of God Brett, pleeeease acknowledge the fact that MOST of the pictures of this group, young to old, is of all of them drinking in abundance, then driving, or allowing others to drive, while BEING POLICE, is kind of crazy. All of those police officers, and everyone is drunk, and out on the town. Do you not see how unjust this is? How many of the people in all of these pictures do you think have given citations for just that same crime? Is this not privilege? How many lives have THEY ruined, making it impossible to vote, or buy a home because the criminal now can’t get a job because of that very same crime that they all commit or witness, regularly? They didn’t need to go inside the house to make John still be alive. JOHN could have prevented her from driving, called a Uber, or simply not rode with her because she was hammered. John could have done his JOB, and arrested her. They all did it, because they all knew they could.
Also, thinking back to Adnan–a butt dial is a butt dial is a butt dial. Except THIS butt dial was to someone who died recently, AND after/before “How/Hos long to die in the cold?” Brett, you always seem super fair. Even in this last episode when you put a little spin on it and kind of threw Karen out there to lose some of her backing, calling it privilege. Yes, she has it. They ALL did. It’s like opening the gates to The Village, and we can all see inside of what was to be hidden. If she butt dialed him, then why couldn’t Adnan have butt dialed that girl from Silver Springs? Why is. her search history not very weird? Why would anyone look that up, especially if you have no idea how long he’s been outside? Why look it up at all, when it’s a close friend?
