Perspective from UK – am I missing something? Haven’t listened to Serial yet. Have listened to several podcasters who thinks Adnan killed Hae
To me Jay’s situation screams low level police informant – he’s not some big drug dealer, he’s got a pre existing relationship with the police hence why it looks like they’re feeding him info. They are imho but because either he’s gone rogue or they think he has so they need to cover their backs.
Personally think Jay knew Adnan had been groomed and that means he’s the one with power over Adnan, because even as a victim he’s not ever going to want that to come out. Still doesn’t. So Adnan lied but Jay’s lies are much more likely because he had a major or singular role in Haes murder. Did Adnan help bury – possibly yes. But to me it’s because Jay pressured him to, not the other way round.
