I think what might have happened is that when Robert and Natalie were arguing, he forced her into the dinghy, (bruises on the wrists/arms) and cut it loose, let it sail away to “teach her a lesson” or whatever. The screams were her panicking and objecting to being forced and left in the dinghy – she couldn’t sail the dinghy. She may have jumped out of the dinghy to try in desparation to swim back to the boat, or fallen out of it. But I think it’s plausible that he forced her into the dinghy during the argument- she wouldn’t have got into it voluntarily.
